Project Honeydew - licences and third-party notices
===================================================

Project Honeydew is an unofficial fan project: a VR mod for Pikmin (GameCube),
built on Open Nectar. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by
Nintendo. Pikmin, Nintendo and Nintendo GameCube are
trademarks of their owners. This package contains no Nintendo game data:
the game's files come from your own disc image when you install, and the
licences below cover none of them (see LEGAL.md).

What is in this package, and under which terms
----------------------------------------------

Project Honeydew, Open Nectar and the projectPiki decompilation
    nectar.exe, nectar-launcher.exe, vr\*.json, vr\pikminvr.vrmanifest
    CC0 1.0 Universal - Project-Honeydew-and-Open-Nectar-CC0-1.0.txt
The decompiled game code is the work of the projectPiki contributors
(github.com/projectPiki/pikmin), the native PC port of the Open Nectar
community, the VR layer of the Project Honeydew fork. CC0 applies only
where their authors could waive rights; it grants nothing over Nintendo's game.

OpenVR SDK 2.15.6 (Valve Corporation)
openvr_api.dll (loaded at run time to talk to SteamVR)
    BSD 3-Clause - OpenVR-BSD-3-Clause.txt

SDL 2.32.10 (Simple DirectMedia Layer)
    linked into nectar.exe and nectar-launcher.exe
    zlib licence - SDL2-zlib.txt

Software JAudio renderer and sound bank loader (NextOS Elite contributors,
github.com/NextOs-Ports/pikmin-nextos), adapted from SDL3 to SDL2
    in nectar.exe
MIT - NextOS-audio-MIT.txt (with the upstream notice)

stb_image 2.30 (Sean Barrett)

BC1-BC7 texture decoding in nectar.exe (texture packs)
MIT or Unlicense, your choice - bcdec-MIT-or-Unlicense.txt

    hashing in nectar.exe
    BSD 2-Clause - xxHash-BSD-2-Clause.txt

Dear ImGui 1.91.9 (Omar Cornut)
    the launcher's interface (nectar-launcher.exe)
    MIT - Dear-ImGui-MIT.txt

Fredoka (The Fredoka Project Authors)
vr\Fredoka.ttf (the in-game VR cards); also embedded in nectar-launcher.exe

MinGW-w64 runtime (winpthreads) and the GCC runtime libraries
    linked into nectar.exe and nectar-launcher.exe
winpthreads: MIT and BSD 3-Clause; libstdc++/libgcc: GPL-3.0 with the
GCC Runtime Library Exception - MinGW-w64-runtime.txt

Microsoft's Universal C Runtime (UCRT) and OpenGL come with Windows and are
not part of this package.

Artwork
-------
The icon of both executables, the launcher's banner and vr\pikminvr.png are Project Honeydew's own,
drawn from scratch from plain shapes (packaging\vr\art\make_art.py in the source) and offered under
the same CC0 1.0 dedication as the code. Their lettering uses the Fredoka font (SIL OFL 1.1).

vr\olimar_gloves.bin, the player's gloves, is a 3D model made for Project Honeydew
at the request of the fork's author (with ChatGPT / Codex), inspired by
Olimar's look in Pikmin. It was modelled for the mod, not taken from the game.

Game data
---------
The game's own files (models, textures, sounds, text, the font texture)
come only from your disc image, when nectar-launcher installs it, and stay
on your computer. nectar.exe in this package does not contain the game's
font texture: it reads it from assets\dataDir\bigFont.bti of your install.
